the brief
We were asked to provide technical production for the awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel and Westminster Park Plaza. The previous event was described as “the BRIT awards of finance” so the aim for this event was to recreate this feeling in a smaller venue.
the concept
This design integrated twin 6m projection screens, with live camera relay, for maximum visibility of presenters and content, with a central branded backdrop. The set also integrated 6x moving head lights per side and star cloth drape between the set backdrop and screens. The full lighting package also included appropriate stage wash and moving heads for the entertainment. The audio system gave full coverage across the room, including main hangs, dancefloor fill, and out fills given the width of the room.
the delivery
Navigating the challenges of a tight loading bay, the design was implemented as per spec, despite some challenges with lenses on the day. The event was well received with overwhelmingly positive feedback, and a successful band set to close. We have already been contacted to deliver the London and South East Finance Awards for next year!
