innovation, ESG, diversity & equality
part of a bigger mission.
We love our job but are proud to be part of a bigger mission,
– to develop talent, innovate & set high standards.
– to promote economic growth and better engagement through memorable shared experiences.
– to broaden access to live and cultural experiences.
– to support diversity, sustainability, & charitable giving.
We do this in 9 ways, by:
1 – providing employment & training opportunities over 35 years to:
– 40 technicians
– 500 freelance crew
2 – maintaining 50% female employees in a male dominated sector.
3 – training and developing our own technical staff. We bring in local talent & are providing career paths.
4 – working sustainably – our approach to sustainable event delivery practically focuses on 4 areas: energy, transport, signage/built elements & supply chain. Our strategy also outlines the good daily habits we adopt to reduce our carbon footprint. A copy of our strategy can be downloaded here.
5 – providing our focus on health and safety through Safe Contractor accreditation.
6 – supporting cultural, charity & creative sectors through our design & production. This spans festivals, pop up installations, tours, video & streaming content.
7 – helping clients find & then bring venues to life. This provides outlets & revenue streams for artists, venues, charities and engages new audiences in culture.
– we support dance, comedy, art, poetry, fashion, many forms of music, circus performance & spoken word at c.150 events a year, working with established & emerging artists, supply chain companies & freelancers.
– we have worked with c.600 artists from flash mob dancers, Live Rockeoke performers & created with New Era an art installation of 2,500 caps outside Wembley Stadium which features in the Guinness Book of Records.
– we help generate needed income for cultural & historic venues, delivering events at over 200 English venues from the Natural History Museum to MK shopping centre.
– we have helped charities raise £1m including supporting the Willen Hospice for over 10 years & Disability in Sports at Stoke Mandeville with live music & poetry events
8 – innovating in event safety & the creation, presentation & distribution of content.
– building our own streaming studio supported by advanced remote controlled cameras to ensure covid safe production.
* enabling local artists to perform to virtual audiences e.g. Against All Odds – whose band members are role models for overcoming physical & mental challenges
* streaming a book club tackling social exclusion
* re-recording exclusive concerts for worldwide audiences without the need to travel
* streaming dance & fashion catwalk shows
* showcasing new technology with the Catapult Innovation centre– developing landmark light show/installation projection graphics e.g. for events, such as Milton Keynes Cathedral dome to mark Armistice Day & at Bletchley Park to celebrate its unique role in code breaking during WW2
– pioneering cutting edge UVC technology that keeps the air in indoor spaces safe, clean and fresh, protecting individuals and companies from the impacts of Covid and other viruses
9 – improving cultural access close to home by:
– supporting local venues such as the Chrysalis Theatre (empowering special needs groups to put on & produce talent shows) and the Stables Arts centre
– lending production expertise & equipment to local charities/schools/community groups, including:* Numerous Willen hospice events, including Lights of Love for lost family members, which featured a live orchestra & 1000 candles
